Editorial review

The following review written by one of the Software Informer contributors applies to version 1.3
WinMend Folder Hidden is a fast and easy-to-use free tool to help you keep your most sensitive information safe and private. It is capable of hiding any file and folder on any disk partition and removable device, without damaging a single byte of your valuable data.
For obvious safety reasons, you will be required to key in a password to perform any hiding and unhiding task.

One of the beauties of this tool is that the hidden files and folders are computer-independent. Thus, data which has been rendered invisible while stored on a removable device will remain hidden regardless of the computer to which you connect that device.

The program's interface could not be simpler. All the controls you need to perform the two tasks with can be found in the first of the three tabs shown (in fact, the other two tabs are solely informative). Both hiding and unhiding processes are performed swiftly and safely, regardless of the amount of information being processed. Every time you run Folder Hidden, its interface will inform you of files and folders are kept hidden on each and every drive in your system. Actually, this will be the only way for you to “see” those files.

  • Simplicity of use.
  • Fast performance.
  • Hidden files and folders are computer-independent.

  • None.
