This utility not only helps you hide directories on your computer, but it also enables you to conceal your private documents with just a few clicks.

This type of applications comes in handy if you're sharing your PC with other people and wish to prevent them from accessing your private data when you're not around your computer.

All you need to do in order to hide a file or directory is to import it. The program will immediately conceal it, without slowing down the performance of your system in the process. To reverse the action, simply select the item you wish to reveal and click the "Unhide" button.

After reading various reviews which were shared online by WinMend Folder Hidden users, I started to question this app's reliability. For instance, the developer doesn't mention anywhere on its homepage or the app's interface which algorithm it's being used to conceal your data. So, you can't be sure if the encryption is easy or difficult to crack by unauthorized users.

Also, according to multiple WinMend Folder Hidden users, there's a huge risk of losing the concealed data and you need to complete many steps to remove the program completely from your PC.

In my opinion, you should try a different program for hiding your files and folders on your Windows PC.

Pros

  • You can import and hide as many files and folders as you like
  • Fast processing speed
  • Localized in various languages

Cons

  • Not sure what algorithm it uses to hide items and how strong it is

I'm not sure why people are giving this software less that full marks. It does exactly what it says and does it very well indeed. Set your folders to hide, with a password for the software - job done.

It's an amazing app for privacy. I'll give 5-star.

What a half-baked review. Every program should be thoroughly tested in a full install / uninstall routine. The Internet is full of posts, threads and articles about the problems that arise when attempting to uninstall this badly written software. So why didn't the reviewer spot that and legislate for it in her review? It's not exactly rocket science, is it, to go researching a product to see what others may have encountered. Here, a simple Google search for 'WinMend Folder Hidden uninstall problem' would've produced results in seconds.
